    Welcome to my listing for 12 lovely demitasse Primans Nickel Silver (NS) spoons with a vermeil gold wash.   They fit neatly in a leather bound case with a hunter green silk lined interior.  Delicate embossing on spoon handle with a fancy script engraved initial that looks like an F.
    The retailer STARR & MARCUS is printed inside box along with- DIAMONDS & STERLING SILVERWARE 22 JOHN ST New York.

    Starr & Marcus, founded in NY in 1862 by Theodore Starr and Herman Marcus, was a renown retailer selling fine diamonds and silver to elite customers.  They were slightly less glamorous than TIffany (hard to believe, but true)  And indeed Marcus left to join Tiffany's in 1877.
