Description
Offered for sale by Caspar’s Place isan 826 silver sugar spoon, shell, or scoop from Denmark made in 1923 by an unknown maker.
It is marked as assayed by Christian Fr. Heise ("CFH" overlapping) who was active from
circa 1904 until 1932. The assayer confirms the fineness of the silver. It bears the national mark of Denmark - three towers with "23" at base - indicating it is of 826 minimum silver content. The piece is also marked as made in 1923.
The sugar scoop is not monogrammed.
It is in good estate condition, although
with the patina of fine scratches to be expected with age and use. The piece’s price reflects its condition. This beautiful sugar scoop will make a lovely addition to any silver collection.
The sugar scoop weighs approximately .49 troy ounces.
It is roughly 5.5” in length.
