    Description

    For sale is an antique Scandinavian, probably Danish, silver soup ladle with pricked engraving, circa 1800. The piece is 15 inches long and the bowl is 4 ¼ inches wide.
    It weighs 148 grams.
    It has a downturned pointed handle with engraved decoration.
    The piece is monogrammed “JAF” on the handle front.
    It is marked twice with an [S] in a diamond shaped surround; I have not been able to identify this mark.


    Condition on the ladle is fair / poor.
    The bowl is dented and appears to have been repaired multiple times.
    The engraving on the handle is very worn from use.
    Regardless, an interesting old silver ladle.
