Cosmos sterling silver coffee set on tray. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. This set comprises coffeepot, creamer, and sugar. Gently curved and half-fluted bodies. Coffeepot and creamer have reeded stained-wood high-looping handles with silver bead and tendril split-mount. Coffeepot and sugar have raised cover with lobed bead finial mounted to chased patera. Visible hand hammering. Danish Modern Classicism in a pattern first produced in 1915. Illustrated in: Drucker, 1997, p. 218 and 221. Fully marked including maker?s stamp (1945-77), designer?s stamp (Johan Rohde), and nos. 45A (coffeepot) and 45D (creamer and sugar). Nice shimmer.
