MAGNUS ANITRA 830S 82 PIECE STERLING SILVER FLATWARE-VINTAGE

Description

Selling a 82 piece sterling silver flatware from Norway.  This beautiful set is part of my mother's estate and was purchased in the during 1950's (I do not know original purchase date); it has been in my family for over 60 years.  The set was purchased directly from Norway by my mother's aunt who visited there often.  It is an original Norwegian design by one of the most renowned silversmiths Theodor Olsen Eftf now known as Arven 1868 who are still in business in Bergen, Norway.  The stainless steel knife blades (dinner and butter knives) are by the cutlery maker Atkinson Brothers of Sheffield, England.  The entire set consists of a service for 12 however for some reason there are 13 butter knives and I do not know why!

12 - dinner forks, 7 3/8"
12 - salad forks, 6"
12 - teaspoons, 5 7/8"
12 - demitasse spoons, 4 5/8"
6 - serving spoons, 8"
1 - meat fork, 9 1/2"
1 - gravy spoon, 6 1/2"
1 - cake/pastry server, 8 1/2"
The chest is included and is vintage--my mother received it as a wedding gift in 1942 (78 years ago).  The inside has never been touched however the outside of the chest was refurbished due to heavy scratching over the years.
Please remember that this VINTAGE set is USED (my mother used this for various dinner parties as many women did in the 1950's) and is more than 60 years old; it has NOT been used in the last 20 plus years except for an occasional polishing.
