    Description

    Up for bid is a large early Norwegian silver leaf pattern tablespoon, dated 1833, as is.  The spoon is 8 7/8 inches long and weighs 68 grams. It has a threaded fiddle pattern handle with a raised leaf on the front.  The spoon is not monogrammed.  It is marked with a figure, a [C] in a circle, [JB] in an oval, [1833] in a rectangle and a zodiac sign month code.
    Condition on the spoon is fair / poor.  A monogram or other engraving was removed from the handle front and back at some point, and the spoon was buffed.  The bowl has some shallow creases and other dents as well.  Still an impressive old Scandinavian silver spoon!
