Thune 830S Norwegian Shooting Award Vase Cup First Place Oct 28, 1928 66.2 grams

Up for auction is a beautiful heavy little cup that was awarded to an unknown Norwegian officer in a shooting contest on October 28, 1928.
The pictures of the inscription are poor  - Here is what is inscribed:

Officersmesterskapet
28-10-28
The bottom is inscribed Thune830S, the Norse standard for silver  830/1000.  Sterling silver is 925/1000 for comparison.
This would make a fine little vase or glass for drinking  It is quality work and heavy for its size, 3 1/4" tall.
The emblem on the front, NOP with crossed antique pistols, (I think) represents a Norwegian Pistol Championship.

About shipping: when I can, I will ship the least expensive way, 1st class USPS for lightweight small items, and USPS Media Mail for ephemera and books.  If you want Priority, let me know, but it's always more expensive for you.  I also reuse boxes, bubble envelopes, and wrapping first because they're on hand here, and second because I hate sending anything to the landfill.  This also saves you money.   You also need to know that our post office is a little slow in logging in packages.  If I drop off a package in the morning  USPS will scan a package with tracking that night when it goes onto a truck, or even as late as the next day.  If there is a delay between the time  your postage is purchased and when USPS claims to have it, this is why.  Have a great time shopping on ebay, and please take a look at my other items!
