    Description

    Up for bid are two different early Swedish silver KINGS pattern teaspoons.  The spoons are 5 ¾ and 5 5/8 inches long, respectively and together weigh 42 grams.  The spoons have classic double die-stuck KINGS pattern handles.  The larger spoon is monogrammed “TG” on the handle back and is marked [GFR] with the Swedish 3-Crown assay mark, an indistinct mark and a worn date code.  The smaller spoon is not monogrammed, and is marked [AL?] with the assay marks and an [F5] date code for 1860.


    Condition on the spoons is good. There is normal wear from use, and they have not been buffed or altered.  The bowl tips are in nice shape, and the handles are reasonably straight. Some good antique Swedish spoons!
