This listing is for a lovely 19th Century Dutch Sterling Silver Jewelry Box with unusual embossed scene, c. 1880-1900.
This fabulous silver box is decorated with an elaborate embossed top with iron workers in the design and intricate scroll design on bottom sides. The interior has a fitted compartment with hinged cover and lined in purple velvet. Hinge is tight and box opens and closes correctly. The silver is marked with two hallmarks, one is a lion and the other is tiny and illegible.
Measures 2" long, 5 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" long. Weighs 8 ounces.
This lovely box is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage. The interior does show normal wear commensurate with age and gentle use (see photos).
